Initiated by Gender Champion Club (GCC) and NSS Unit, USL, RBU, UN Day was observed at the University School of Law on 24th October 2017. Prof. O.P. Midha, Registrar, RBU and Prof. (Dr.) M.S.Bains, Dean, USL, RBU graced the function. Dr. Sonia Grewal Mahal, Vice Principal, USL welcomed the guests and the students and elaborated as to how access to justice was imperative to the preservation of Rule of Law. Prof. (Dr.) M.S.Bains, Dean, University School of Law, delivered an expert talk on the role of UN in preserving world peace and promoting humanity at the International Level. Further, he emphasized that the budding lawyers of today are the hope of tomorrow and they need to be driven by the international ideals of social-economic justice. The expert talk was followed by an interactive session. Various intra and inter-institute competitions such as Poster Making, Slogan Writing, Photography- cum- Caption and Paper Writing Competition were held. Dr.Kirat Grewal, Associate Professor, USL proposed the vote of thanks. The program culminated with an undertaking of pledge committed to ‘peace today and every day’. The success of the program was the outcome of the meaningful collaboration of the faculty members namely Dr.Kirat Grewal, Coordinator, GCC, USL, and Dr.Jaspal Singh, NSS Coordinator, USL and Student Coordinators AakashdeepMultani, Deep Inder Singh Walia, Shalini Sharma, Jyoti Saroha, SachitKhurana and Saurav Sharma.
