The Department’s program of teaching and research is remarkable for its breadth, spanning such areas as biological chemistry, inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, and physical chemistry, and many of the fundamental discoveries made by department researchers have found their way into practical applications ranging from polymer synthesis to medical imaging.
This spectrum of research activity, combined with a variety of challenging graduate subjects and an extensive seminar program, provide master students with the foundation needed for a meaningful professional career and a lifetime of independent learning.
