CAREER CENTRE was established at RBGI to develop and work for a strong and long lasting Industry-Academia relationship. CAREER CENTRE, with the feedback and help of corporate, ensures that the students are imparted with latest tools and skills available across the market, incorporating all elements, which enable the students to become well suited and ready for the job market and cut throat competition. In order to explore students’ abilities to the fullest, events like expert talks by the prominent specialist in current technologies, confidence building, stress & time management and attitudinal development workshops are organized. These activities subsequently mould them as per competitive market requirement and make them confident by developing both leadership qualities as well as managerial skills and still be sensitive to the human compassion. Besides all such activities, the CAREER CENTRE lays emphasis on case studies, industrial visits and practical training over the full academic calendar year without affecting the normal academic schedule of teaching and learning.

Learning and Development Function

Learning and Development function is one of the key aspect of any university or college. In most of the educational entities L & D might as well enjoy highest priority for Knowledge Transfer (KT) and producing quality Human Resource which is Industry ready and equipped . Induction and Orientation:

A one-time event formally welcoming and introducing new hires to our esteemed University within their first week . This training tends to be relevant to all university-wide roles and departments.
Orientation trainings are usually prepared by ‘School Of work-life skills’ on big-picture topics such as:

Soft Skills Development Training

Faculty Development Program

Faculty vitality is the main ingredient to enhance professional education and competence. Enriching the faculty vitality in key domains of teaching, assessing, research, professionalism, and administration is perceived to improve educational environment significantly and enhances the academic performance of learners. Faculty development program (FDP) has been considered as a stand-alone educational pedagogy in fostering knowledge and professional skills of faculty.

Student Assessment Process


The ‘Student Assessment Process’ is a crucial tool which helps in keeping ‘One to One’ mapping or ‘Individual Monitoring’ on candidates.

Objective :

This activity helps to gauge student employability and readiness for the recruitment process.
The complete process begins with an interaction with students regarding the process and about its relevance and objectives.
The process is based on following benchmarks:

  • Soft skills – Grooming ,Communication skills, Resume, Presentation skills, Body Language
  • Analytical Assessment-LR & DI, Quant and Verbal
  • Technical –Subject specific assessment

Summary

  • The students will be assessed on three basic parameters which are Soft Skills, Analytical or Aptitude and Technical Knowledge (Subject info.)
  • The process begins with a written test on Aptitude followed by panel interview to assess students on given benchmarks.
  • The consolidated scores are analyzed and batch will be formed accordingly.

Note: The Technical Knowledge will be assessed by an In-house faculty/HOD as per availability on the assessment day.

Assessment Function

  • Individual data is maintained in excel format and time to time shared with management for ‘Individual Monitoring’.
  • Any absconds or absentees are strongly treated and relevant actions are taken.
  • ‘Gap Analysis’ is done by analyzing Pre and Post Assessment Data.
  • A close co-ordination with all Heads and Faculties completes the process.
