Introduction


This degree program offering dual specialization in Cloud Technology and Information Security offers a unique value proposition by combining the important subject areas in each of these new age fields of study and providing an integrated learning platform. Information Security is often synonymously used as Cyber Security.

The program offers a wide range of technical and programming skill sets that complement the specialization subjects on Cloud and Security.

This program is primarily aimed at offering student’s flexibility in making their own career choices in programming or Cloud or Information Security, thus bringing unique set of value proposition. Through this program students are enabled to compete for Programming, Cloud and Security based job profiles thus improving the employment quotient significantly.

Eligibility


A pass in 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Technical Vocational subject with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) OR a Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category).

Program Objectives


This unique program provides dual career options for the students in the fast-growing technology sectors of Cloud Technology and Information Security. In addition to all the mandatory subjects of a traditional undergraduate program, this specialized program offers in-depth practical know-how of the current trend Technology – Cloud and Information Security. These sectors have the potential to grow exponentially and they provide challenging job opportunities for young professionals with the right skill sets.

On the Cloud Technology front, the program will provide students with the fundamental knowledge of all aspects of Cloud Technology. The program focuses on Server administration, Application development on cloud utilizing PaaS and Cloud Management technologies.

On the Information Security front, this program equips the students with the concepts and the technical skills needed to secure Information and also creates awareness to different vulnerabilities, corrective measures and protection. The focus of the program is on the concepts, tools and techniques for enforcement of Security Policies, with emphasis on Ethical Hacking, and Computer Forensics.
