Admission Process

Before beginning to apply for admission, please read all the instructions mentioned in the university booklet (pdf copy) published by the university from time to time.
The applicant can apply for admission by following these basic steps:

Submit the copy of application form received from the University along with a copy passport/national ID and relevant academic transcripts.

Wait for confirmation mail. If note received within 24 hours, drop an email to

Once online application and all supporting documents are received, it will be reviewed and “Offer Letter” may be issued by the university, which may be either for “provisional admission or conditional offer letter” as the case may be.

After receiving offer letter, pay required registration fee.

To confirm the admission, the provisional admission fee should be transferred to University’s account as per the details mentioned in the Offer Letter.

The student needs to apply for student visa at the nearest Indian High Commission/Indian Embassy. You will receive the necessary paperwork required for visa application and all guidance from International student Office of the university.

On confirmation of all above steps, you are required to be on the university campus before start of the class.

  • The student should report at the university before the last date as mentioned in the offer letter.
  • In case if there is any delay in reporting, please send an email to and the reason for late reporting. The student shall not be allowed late reporting, unless otherwise decided by the university.
  • In case of late reporting, please also make sure that you inform your department and seek approval for the same. For more information on the late joining please refer to International Booklet.

To arrange for the free airport pickup facility by the University, you are required to share a copy of your air-ticket, at least before 15 days of the date of travel.

On reaching the university campus and completion of all registration formalities, the student has to attend department orientation seminar at the university. Please contact your individual department for date and time for orientation seminar and class schedule.

Important Note

  • The students have to fill the online application form for international students available at Rayat Bahra University by filling in all the details.
  • Student needs to ensure that the entire form is completely filled and supporting documents are also uploaded in the online application portal.
  • If mark sheet/ transcript is not in English, you need to get it translated into English and this translated copy must then be uploaded along with native language certificate.
  • If results have not yet been declared, then please fill as ‘result awaited’ in the result status column.
  • Student needs to visit timely the admissions portal to check for latest updates related to admission as all further communication will be through the portal only. There will not be any communication by any other mode.
  • All international students should satisfy the conditions laid down by the university from time to time, otherwise, it would result in the cancellation of admission.
  • It generally takes 3-6 weeks to obtain Indian Visa. Therefore, it is advisable that a considerable amount of time should be allotted and consult the high commission/Indian embassy in the concerned country.

English Language Requirement

All international students should satisfy one of the following the English language requirements irrespective of the program in which they are seeking admission. The student still has to satisfy English language requirement even if his/her primary department doesn’t require the English as a compulsory course in the eligibility condition. This is the university requirement and the department has no bearing on it.

  • If a student has completed his/her education in school/college where English has been the language of instruction, in such cases, the student still needs to furnish evidence for the same from concerned school/college. The documentary evidence has to be attested by the registrar or concerned authority.


In case if a student who doesn’t fulfill the above criteria, he/she will have to provide one of the following for English language proficiency.

  • IELTS BAND of 5.5
  • TOEFL (ICBT) score of 70 or equivalent in any of the TOEFL format

As the medium of instruction in the university is English, it is mandatory that every international student should satisfy the above requirement. The university is not responsible for any problem faced by any student in class due to poor English language proficiency of the student. No relaxation for any class or during the evaluation will be offered by the university. If any student is found to be non-proficient in the English language, he/she will have to undergo special English language classes and the cost for which shall be borne by the students.
